Originally qualified as an Advocate in India in 2018, Marilyn will shortly be admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales, offering a blend of legal insights from diverse systems worldwide. Her legal journey includes an LLM from Queen Mary University of London, where she deepened her understanding of international dispute resolution frameworks. Marilyn is a personable and reliable legal professional with dispute resolution experience across multiple jurisdictions and commercial advice and drafting experience for SME’s. 

Her experience encompasses property litigation, contractual claims, debt recovery proceedings, regulatory disputes, civil forfeiture and POCA claims. She also advises start-up businesses and more established growth businesses with their commercial needs and documents including IP, shareholder agreements, loan agreements, terms and much more.

This breadth of expertise underscores her versatility and proficiency across various legal domains. This unique combination of legal experience equips her with a broad understanding of different legal systems, enabling her to offer strategic advice and representation to clients working in different global markets.

Driven by her interest in technology law and a penchant for disrupting traditional working systems, Marilyn brings her extensive knowledge and expertise to ACLF as part of the Commercial and Litigation Legal Team. She works on customising agreements for startups and businesses, that are at the forefront of technological innovation, spanning the landscape of AI and drones, as well as ventures within the realms of the metaverse and beyond. Marilyn shares the firm’s dedication to being a pioneer of change, whether that is navigating regulatory landscapes, drafting cutting-edge contracts, or protecting intellectual property in the digital age, she is excited to help companies thrive in the ever-evolving tech ecosystem.

Outside of work, Marilyn finds joy in theatre and music. She is inspired by the captivating narratives of theatre productions and immerses herself in the energy of live music performances and concerts.
