Tamryn is a consultant lawyer for the firm providing company, commercial, business and litigation support. Tamryn has over 12 years of experience in legal services. Her extensive international litigation background offers an important insight to our team and clients.

Tamryn has served as a Candidate Attorney, Legal Researcher on Court Annexed Mediation, Judge’s Registrar for the Office of the Chief Justice, Provincial Legal Officer for the National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC). She has served as an Advocate since 2019 and has extensive experience in High Courts, tribunals, arbitration and the drafting of:

Pleadings (particulars of claim, defences and counter claims);
Motion proceedings, heads of arguments and practice notes; applications;

Tamryn is a Practising Advocate and Member of the Legal Practice Council of South Africa; a Member of the National Bar Council of South Africa and a member of the Association of Arbitrators Southern Africa NPC having completed a certificate course in Arbitration. She is in the process of qualifying as a Solicitor of England and Wales under the SQE route and hopes to be duel qualified this year.

Tamryn under the supervision of our commercial solicitors offers an experience level of commercial and litigation support. She is responsible for the development and maintenance of our commercial documents, tools and guides and supports delivery of commercial documents

She reviews and acts on multi-jurisdictional transactions relating to commercial and business law on non-contentious IP transactional work such as IP assignments, shareholder agreements, share acquisition agreements, articles of association, loan agreements, Master Service Agreements, IP-led collaboration agreements, licensing, term-sheets and IP aspects of software development agreements. Provides feedback/advice including the associated due diligence and negotiation of transaction documents. In respect of litigation she reviews and drafts responses to contentious disputes.

She works closely with our commercial lawyers and other lawyers so that we can ensure everything, you require, is covered by our team.

Tamryn is passionate about community service and development and has chaired a sectional title body corporate for the past 2 years providing Advisory, compliance and arbitration functions- Establishing, guiding, directing and overseeing the strategic plans, under direction of the Board, to advance the mission and objectives, promote sustainability and growth of the Scheme. Has been responsible for the financial budgeting, review of contracts, employment and arbitration hearings, compliance and monitoring to assist in overseeing the successful management and maintenance of the scheme.
