Matthew qualified as a solicitor in 2011 and specialises in complex non-contentious intellectual property law, commercial law and media & entertainment law instructions. He has a particular interest in music, film, software development and website development matters, but enjoys all aspects of non-contentious intellectual property related commercial work.

He enjoys working with clients of all sizes, whether start-up or international, and is experienced in providing advice on matters that are low or high in value.

He has extensive experience in drafting and advising on a range of contracts and transactions, including licences and assignments of intellectual property in a wide variety of industry sectors, most notably in respect of music, film, software development and website development.

Regarding more general commercial work, he regularly assists clients in drafting and advising on agreements relating to confidentiality and non-disclosure, software/technology and website development, manufacturing and distribution, franchise, supplier, consultancy and sub-contracting, as well as B2B and B2C terms & conditions of business.

Matthew has carried out work for a number of boutique specialist firms since he qualified. He is engaged as a consultant solicitor and is keen to help our clients by providing concise and practical advice on any intellectual property law or commercial law related matters.
